Tag your clothes??

You know those "tags" that the social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace have, where you can identify friends who appear in photos? Well, take that to the nth degree and you have the soon-to-be-annoying application created by Internet startup, Udorse.

The Udorse concept (as provided by the heathens themselves):
"We each have our own favorite brands, cool designers, new products, and special places. Oftentimes, these are pictured in our photos. Udorse is a cross-platform visual endorsement engine that empowers you to effortlessly endorse the items and places in your photos that you want to help support, and share with your friends. It's easy and fun. When partners are udorsed, you earn real money from them as a reward for your support. You can donate your earnings to your favorite charity, or accept them as cash into your PayPal account.

Your pictures. Your power. Endorsement deals: Democratized.

Udorse was founded in June, 2009 by Geoffrey Lewis (CEO) and Trevor Austin (CTO), both 26. It received seed funding from Founders Fund. Facebook investor and PayPal Co-Founder serves on Udorse's board of directors. The Company launched in private beta at TechCrunch 50 in September, 2009."

As mentioned, this application has thankfully just launched, and only has a few partnerships with key companies during its BETA phase. Hopefully, the response is abysmal, and the startup will fail. If not, we can all expect to see photos literally COVERED with product endorsements to such a degree that you won't even be able to see the photo.

Just my two cents ...
